Diaotai, or Angling Terrace, named after the place where Yan Ziling of the Western Han Dynasty lived in reclusion, has a long historical and cultural background. Tonglu, the county where the original angling terrace was located, attracted many men of letters in past dynasties for its rich literary traditions and unique culinary culture. Our master chef from Tonglu, where the Tongjiang River produces a variety of freshwater fish, refrains from using any artificial condiments for cooking. We select only organic ingredients to make sure that our dishes preserve the pure original tastes.
